Questions about Pro

What happens when the trial ends?

Automatic subtitle downloads switch off. Everything else, the watch folder and media server scans included, keeps working. Nothing is renamed or removed. Turn them back on any time with a Pro key.

How do I start the trial?

Turn on Settings → Subtitles → Download missing subtitles after renaming. The 14-day trial starts then. No account or card needed. In Docker: pathrenamer config set subs_auto true.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Ask within 14 days of buying, using the support contact in your Polar receipt email, and you get your money back, no questions asked.

Does Pro work in the Docker version?

Yes, with the same key: pathrenamer license activate YOUR-KEY, or set PATHRENAMER_LICENSE_KEY. Each Docker setup counts as one of your 3 computers.

Does Pro need the internet all the time?

No. PathRenamer checks your key once a week and keeps Pro working for 30 days without a connection.

Can I move my license to a new PC?

Yes. In Settings → Pro, click Remove From This PC on the old computer, then activate the key on the new one. Lost the old computer? Remove it in Manage My License. A license is tied to the computers it was activated on, so copying the settings to another computer doesn't take Pro along.

Who handles payments?

Polar, which takes care of payment, receipts, and sales tax or VAT where you live. PathRenamer never sees your card.
